Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

1. Introduction

ChakraBit LLP ("we," "us," or "our"), a Limited Liability Partnership registered in Mumbai, India, operates the website www.chakrabit.com and related SaaS products including InboundKit (www.inboundkit.dev). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our websites and services.

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Information you provide directly:

  • Name and email address when you submit our contact form
  • Account registration details when you sign up for our SaaS products
  • Payment and billing information processed through our payment provider (Stripe)
  • Any other information you choose to provide in communications with us

Information collected automatically:

This website uses Edgemetry, cookieless analytics software that we wrote and that we host ourselves. It records the following, without cookies, without local storage, and without any persistent identifier:

  • Pages viewed, entry and exit pages, and time spent on the site
  • The hostname of the site that referred you, never the full referring URL, and any UTM campaign tags in the link you followed
  • Country, browser, operating system, device type, and screen size

Your IP address is never written to storage. It is held in memory only long enough to compute a one-way hash of your IP address, your browser's user agent, and a random salt that changes every day and is destroyed two days later. Once that salt is gone, the day's hashes cannot be recomputed or matched against any other day, so visits cannot be linked into a profile over time. Raw event records are discarded within 48 hours; after that only aggregate counts remain, carrying no visitor identifiers of any kind.

Information from third parties:

  • Payment confirmation details from Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • To process transactions and send related billing information
  • To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • To send service-related notices and updates
  • To monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or security threats
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: With third-party vendors who assist us in operating our business (e.g., payment processing and hosting), subject to confidentiality obligations. Our website analytics are self-hosted, so no analytics provider receives your data
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users
  • With your consent: In any other case, only with your explicit consent

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained for the duration of your account and up to 90 days after deletion
  • Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months
  • Transaction records are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting laws
  • Server logs are retained for up to 12 months
  • Raw website analytics events are discarded within 48 hours; only aggregate counts, which contain no visitor identifiers, are kept beyond that

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Cookies and Tracking

This website sets no cookies. We do not use cookies, local storage, device fingerprinting, or any other persistent identifier on chakrabit.com, and we run no third-party advertising or tracking scripts. Because nothing is stored on your device and no personal data is retained, this site does not require a cookie consent banner under the GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive.

Our website analytics come from Edgemetry, open-source software we built and run on infrastructure we operate ourselves. No third-party analytics company receives any data about your visit. Edgemetry is MIT licensed, and exactly what it collects and discards can be inspected in full at github.com/hayaran/edgemetry. Section 2 describes the data it records.

Our products. When you sign in to one of our SaaS products, that product may set a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged in. Such cookies are required for the service to work and are never used for analytics, advertising, or profiling. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them will prevent you from staying signed in.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
  • Secure storage of data with access controls
  • Regular review of our security practices

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Data portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

9. International Data Transfers

Our services are operated from India. If you are accessing our services from outside India, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India. By using our services, you consent to such transfer. We take steps to ensure that your data receives adequate protection in accordance with this policy.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
